THE ROYAL BRITISH CLUB

Founded in 1888, we are one of the most historic institutions in Greater Lisbon.

We received royal patronage in 1903 following a visit to the Club's then Clubhouse in Lisbon's historic Palaćio dos Condes de Óbidos during a state visit to Portugal by King Edward VII.

Today, our Club President remains HM Ambassador to Portugal. 

Today, our club is a warm and welcoming social environment that celebrates our deep and abiding heritage. All are welcome to join our many events throughout the year from cocktail parties at the British Embassy to Gala Dinners celebrating important events to days out at local wineries and attractions as well as our informal monthly Happy Hours in Lisbon and Cascais.
