Dear Members

It is with enormous regret that I have to cancel the St George´s Day celebration scheduled for the 23rd April at Lisbon Sports Club.

Sadly Easter, and other events close to the day have worked against us, and despite lots of hard work the turnout in relation to previous St George´s Day celebrations is too low to justify continuing this year’s event.

This news will come as huge disappointment to some, especially those who have put in so much hard work in the planning.

I know Andrew and his croquet team, and those involved in the historical talk and the Shakespearean reading will all be particularly disappointed, as will those who already have their outfit ready to win the best dressed prize.

Thank you again to those involved in the planning.
